What does the service involve?

The Superdrug COVID-19 Swab Testing Service is an RT-PCR test, which is used to confirm a negative infection of COVID-19. This may be used for proof of fitness to fly or work, or to give you confidence to meet with family and friends whilst following local guidelines.

You will be asked to take swab, under supervision and guidance of our nurse,  from the back of the throat and the inside of the nose, and then tested at our lab partners for evidence of COVID-19 infection.

If the result is negative, a certificate will be issued to confirm this.

If you are flying abroad, please check the requirements of all your destinations and book within the required time frame. The requirement for pre-flight testing does vary by country and can be subject to change. Ensure you know how many days or hours before landing you are required to have had the test. It is your responsibility to ensure you meet your destination’s criteria.

Who performs the Service?

You will be asked to take your sample under the supervision and guidance of  Superdrug nurse within a Superdrug Health Clinic. The samples are then sent to Unilabs Limited, a UKAS accredited lab who will analyse the samples.

Diagnostics are undertaken by our partner, Melio Health. During the consultation, your nurse will register you for a Melio Health patient account and you will receive your results through this portal.

You will need to consent to the nurse setting up a Melio Health account for you and your personal data being entered on the Melio patient portal; their terms and conditions can be found Melio Health Terms of Use.
