To determine if you have immunity to Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), one of our trained nurses will take a venous blood sample from your arm.
The sample is then sent, via courier or a special Royal Mail service to our UKAS registered lab to be analysed. Your results will be reviewed by Doctors at Melio Health, and they will send you a link to your results. To find out more about Melio Health click here

Frequently Asked Question
Why do I need to test for Measles, Mumps and Rubella?
Measles, Mumps and Rubella are very infectious diseases, and they can lead to a number of health complications. The first measles containing vaccine was introduced to the UK childhood immunisation programme in 1968, which has led to immunity via the vaccination or from a past infection.
Some people did not take up the vaccination and are not aware of their immunity status, this test will help them to understand if they would benefit from the vaccination as an adult. Alternatively, some careers require colleagues to test to demonstrate that they have immunity.
Do I need to bring photographic ID to the nurse appointment?
You will need to bring a photo ID to your appointment. If you do not present ID during your appointment you can continue to have the test, but we will not be able to verify your test should antibody status verification be required. If you arrive at your appointment without acceptable ID and wish to be able to verify your test, we can reschedule your appointment but there will be a charge of £30.
Accepted ID includes current passport, current UK or EEA photocard driving licence, EEA member state identity card or a national identity card bearing a photograph. Please note that only originals can be accepted for verification.
How is the blood sample sent to the lab?
Your sample will be transported to the lab via a courier network supplied by Melio Health or via royal mail post.
Please be aware that our partner lab may not be able to generate a result from every test due to a variety of factors, this may include haemolysis of the sample. In these circumstances we would do our best to offer a replacement test and nurse appointment that suits you.
How long will it take to receive my results
You should receive an SMS when your result is ready, which is usually within 15 working days after the blood draw. You can then log in to your Melio account to review your result and the interpretation of your result by a registered GMC doctor.
